![]() So obviously my preference is definitely not Sampletank4,there’s so many better options. In the Sampe player sample-synth world for me IK isn’t even really a contender. I already have so many great libraries and samples from so many great developers.I shy away from sample based synths i make a few exceptions from very talented developers but generally i really don’t like sampled synths my preference is more towards developers like U-he,Spectrasonics,Synapse,UVI ,GForce etc……. After I add more SSD space i might consider installing S4 and friends but with all of the great libraries available that aren't S4 related I really don’t see an urgent need. ![]() I haven’t even bothered downloading and installing Sampletank4 all of the S4 related products since they require serious SSD space. Honestly SSD space for me is as precious as it’s unfortunately limited so I only installed the effects and plugins that I bought in the GB. During IK’s recent GB I bought S4 and a few of the most recommended expansions. By that time Kontakt had blossomed and now dominated the market, more library choices, capabilities etc…….,For me Sampletank3 was so inferior and buggy on my sytem I simply deleted it and never used it again. If I remember correctly Sampletank2 was OK and then IK stalled and we had an extremely long wait for Sampletank3. Back in the day before Kontakt dominated the software based sampler world Sampletank was my go-to. Admittedly I’m more than a bit ambivalent towards Sampletank.
